TEMPRANILLO
It is the most cultivated red variety in Spain in recent years.
PHENOLOGY
Sprout occurs earlier than Cabernet Sauvignon and after Red Garnacha. Early ripening (same as Merlot) and 7 days before Cabernet Sauvignon.

Medium-Large cluster. Medium-sized berry.

Sensitive to mildew, oidium and botrytis.
AGRONOMIC CHARACTERISTICS
Upright growing with big leaves. High yield. It is important to control its production in order to obtain high quality wines for ageing.
OENOLOGICAL CHARACTERISTICS
Produces wines with a high alcohol content, rich in tannins and a persistent colour; controlling its maturation is important.
