MOSCATEL DE GRANO MENUDO

White variety mainly grown in Spain in the Ribera de Navarra area.

PHENOLOGY
Early sprout and very early maturation.

CLUSTERS AND BERRIES
Small dense clusters with small-sized berries.

PESTS AND DISEASES
Sensitive to oidium, botrytis and mites.

AGRONOMIC CHARACTERISTICS
Low vigour vine, with a semi-erect to erect growing. Medium fertility. Moderately resistant to drought, prefers poor soils that delay maturation. Requires long pruning.

OENOLOGICAL CHARACTERISTICS
Produces wines with a high alcohol content, golden yellow colour and very aromatic. Previously used to make sweet wines called Supurados. Currently used to make young or barrel-fermented wines with a certain sugar level.
