Red variety that is grown in many regions around the world; in Spain it is mainly grown in Murcia and Valencia.
PHENOLOGY
Late sprout and very late ripening.
CLUSTERS AND BERRIES
Dense cluster with a small-medium sized .
PESTS AND DISEASES
Slightly sensitive to botrytis. Moderately sensitive to oidium and mites. Sensitive to mildew.
AGRONOMIC CHARACTERISTICS
Demanding vine, requiring a delicate hand and high temperatures.
OENOLOGICAL CHARACTERISTICS
Achieves maximum potential when harvested in advanced maturation. Produces wines with a high alcohol content, a lot of colour, rich in tannins and good structure, sharp when young, requiring a low acidic ageing.
