MATURANA BLANCA
Minority white variety from Spain. It is the most cultivated variety within the limits of the Rioja Qualified Designation of Origin.

Early sprout and maturation.
CLUSTERS AND BERRIES
Small cluster with medium density. Small-sized berry.
PESTS AND DISEASES
Very sensitive to botrytis and slightly sensitive to mildew and oidium.
AGRONOMIC CHARACTERISTICS
Medium-high vigour and medium yield. Very hardy and prefers clay-limestone soils. Its high fertility allows for short pruning. Sensitive to wind; therefore, using a trellis system is recommended.
OENOLOGICAL CHARACTERISTICS
Produces wines with a high alcohol content, compensated by high total acidity levels and low pH values. The wines have a greenish yellow colour with fruity aromas. Balanced, medium-bodied and well structured on the palate.
