Red variety from the Utiel-Requena region, mainly cultivated in the Autonomous Region of Valencia and Castilla-León.
PHENOLOGY
Sprout and ripening is average-late.
CLUSTERS AND BERRIES
Medium-large cluster and medium-sized berry.
PESTS AND DISEASES
Sensitive to oidium and botrytis.
AGRONOMIC CHARACTERISTICS
Vigorous variety with a semi-erect vine. High fertility, medium-high yields and large clusters. Very resistant to drought. Adapts well to short pruning.
OENOLOGICAL CHARACTERISTICS
Produces wines with a high alcohol content and a dark cherry colour with violet shades. Sharp wine with a moderate acidity and rich in tannins.
